As has happened before, today I was the first voter in my town to cast a ballot. I am supposed to be on duty at 06:00, so I get in line to vote at aout 10 minutes of. I was at the firehouse at 06:05.
I long for the old days of the mechanical voting machines. In and out in less than a minute. Coloring in the oval on a two-sided paper ballot is a royal pain in the ass and takes several minutes. They make you use a ball point pen now, not the marker pen they used to have. Not one mark on my ballot was made for a Demon-Crap.
As usual, my S&W 45 Shield was safely tucked away out of sight. The polls are at their safest when I am in there.
