One of our favorite songs on the radio during the Arab Oil Embargo of the early 1970's. Then it was not only high-priced (for the time) there was none to be had.
You could only get gas on alternating days. Odd numbered license plates on odd numbered calendar days, even numbered plates on even numbered days. Lines at every station every day. Then the signs taped to the pumps that said "No Gas."
Apparently a song for the ages since here we are again, all because of LIBTURD politics.
