Q: Why do I think there's a commie behind every tree?
A: BECAUSE THERE IS A FUCKING COMMIE BEHIND EVERY TREE!! And on every college campus and at every level in government.

Remembering October 23, 1983

And hearing the news that my childhood friend Stephen was killed by cowardly jihadi scum while he slept in his barracks in Beirut, Lebanon. We grew up together in the little town of Ellington. Went to school together and played baseball together. His Dad was our baseball coach. He was a man's man... and a real tough coach. There was a reason we won ball games. But IMHO, Stephen's death broke him.

It would have been bad enough had he been killed honorably on the field of battle, but this.... this cut deep and hard. Killed by a truck bomb while they slept. My wife was away for a funeral and I cried myself to sleep alone the night I had heard the news. 42 years removed and I am tearing up just typing this.

I was in the Army Reserves at the time, but did not wear my uniform to his funeral service. I wanted to be there as everyone else was; as a school mate, fellow athlete, and friend. We all stood and cried together at the cemetery for Stephen.

I wear this memorial patch for him on my biker vest.

Now you know the source of my deep hatred of those rag-headed goat fuckers and want them either expelled from My Country or dead.

Preferably dead.

EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

How Do They Do It?

Who are they and what do they do? Ride a motorcycle with a large stick up their ass apparently. I have lamented about this phenomena before with this post from 2021. Basically it's this; bikers that ride a certain brand of motorcycle that WILL NOT wave back if you don't ride their favorite brand of motorcycle. While it certainly isn't a majority of Harley-Davidson riders, they are THE ONLY ONES that will snub others. If it didn't happen so often or if it were with all brands of motorcycle I might think "OK, he didn't see me" and blow it off. I  can tell you that if I was in a vehicle following someone on a bike that waved at an oncoming biker and didn't get a wave in return... well I would think that oncoming biker was just a fucking jerkoff.

But now that I am recording every minute of every ride since my close call on Tuesday September 2nd, I decided to showcase these petty fucks from today's 60 mile adventure through the "Quiet Corner." I have pulled out some snapshots of these "too cool for you `cause I ride a Harley and you don't" clowns. I also have some guys on Hogs that DID wave back. As I have said in the earlier post, Harley's aren't for me, but if you ride on 2 or 3 wheels you get my respect until you act like a fucktard.

Too cool dude #1 just a few miles from home. I hope he looked in his mirror as he went by because my wave went to a raised middle finger salute since no one else was around. I can be a petty fuck too ya know.

This guy on a Harley a couple of miles farther did wave on the down low. Same way I do it with two fingers. I turned left and continued north on RT. 198

Next up farther along north on RT. 198 a couple on a Harley. Couples normally both wave, but here he's as much a cunt as she is.

On RT. 197 headed northeast along the MA border. Guy on a sport-touring bike.

Whew... there were a lot of bikes out today. Next up a group of three riding together a couple of miles past the last one

First guy waved

Second guy on an on road/off road enduro type bike waves

The third guy waved too. Even on a Harley.

Soon after these guys passed by, I hit the best part of RT. 197 with lots of curves, dips, and hills through the woods. I caught up to a couple on a yellow Can-Am Spyder going a little slower than I would have been going by myself. I stayed in the left "A Lane" since a trike gets a whole lane you can't really ride in a staggered formation. You'll notice a guy go by on a Harley touring bike that gave us both the snub just as we go by the 40 MPH speed limit sign. At the intersection of RT. 197 and 169, they continued on 197 and I turned south on RT. 169. RT. 169 through Windham and New London Counties is one of the best and most scenic roads for motorcycling in eastern CT. The video is traveling through part of Woodstock.

Enjoy the video clip. My GoPro is pretty old so there is no vibration dampening. Too big to directly embed here, so it lives on YouTube.

After that, a couple more pictures. First up, another asshole.

And a couple of good guys. The first one I had to rewind and watch a few times but he does extend his hand in a wave on video. It's hard to make out here.

And this last guy.

There is a lot more footage of waves and snubs but you get the idea. Further down RT. 169 I got behind a couple of Harleys and rode in the standard staggered formation. Amazing for the next few miles, everyone waved back at us. Hmmm... wonder why? The ride down US RT. 6 heading west from Brooklyn Center through Hampton and into Chaplin at this time of year late in the afternoon has the sun at the perfect angle to light up the foliage. I was going to put the video here, but it just doesn't do the foliage colors justice. Too much work to upload and post it for little benefit other than watching me ride.

"No Kings" Protest Tomorrow

Dear Wackos,

Please... Please... Please...

.... engage in the violence you're promising, so that you can all be taken away in body bags once and for all, and let this country continue on the path to unfucking itself.

I will be far away from any such nonsense, following my own advice of staying strapped but avoiding stupid.

 TODAY IS COLUMBUS DAY

It has never been, is not now, nor will it ever be some stupid make believe alternative.

However, if YOU do believe it is something else, then you better get your ass to work today. Because the lawful federal holiday today celebrates Christopher Columbus.

Unplanned Range Time

I had 50 rounds of my reloaded 9mm to burn up from my last outing. When I reload, I try to do 200 rounds per caliber. I decided to get some range time in with my newest gun, the G-17. Since putting on the adjustable sights my aim has been much better. I grabbed my new OnYour6Designs holster to do some timed draw and shoot as long as no one else was at the range. Excellent! I had the place to myself.

I started with some basic target practice at 10 yards and then the 25 yard hanging plates. With 20 rounds left, I moved the target stand to self defense range of 7 yards. I strapped on my holster, put up a B-27 humanoid silhouette, and broke out my roll of masking tape to cover holes. My shot timer was set for shot strings, a 1 to 9 second random start, and a PAR time of 10 seconds. Most of my shot strings are less than 5 seconds, but since I hadn't done timed shooting in a long time I left it set where it was. I shot seven strings, but somehow didn't record the 7th before clearing the timer data. I started with 2-shot center mass hits only, then moved to "Mozambique Drills" aka "Hearts & Minds" (two to the chest and one to the cranium). See the data below.

String #1  5.04 seconds *

Shot #1 2.17   Shot #2 2.87

String #2  4.24 seconds *

Shot #1 2.01   Shot #2 2.23

String #3  2.81

Shot #1 2.00  Shot #2 0.81

String #4  4.12  +

Shot #1 1.94  Shot #2 1.05   Shot #3 1.13

String #5  4.42  +

Shot #1 1.93  Shot #2 1.11   Shot #3 1.38

String #6  4.88  +

Shot #1 2.50  Shot #2 1.19  Shot #3 1.19

* FTF malfunction on second shot that had to be cleared. Good training element and came in under time. I attribute to my reloaded target ammo. It only did it twice.

+ Mozambique Drills. First 2 shots were center mass, 3rd shot to the head.

The target was hit satisfactorily every time. The gun will be cleaned and lubed tomorrow and stowed until carrying in cooler weather or the need arises. I am confident in my abilities to carry this firearm safely and effectively. Next practice session will be after I load some rounds. Carry ammo will be my normal Hornady Critical Defense 115gr JHP rounds.
