Q: Why do I think there's a commie behind every tree?
A: BECAUSE THERE IS A FUCKING COMMIE BEHIND EVERY TREE!! And on every college campus and at every level in government.

A Little Known Mechanic’s Trick For Removing “Some” Broken Bolts And Screws

I say "SOME", because it won't work on anything that is seized up usually or anything the engraver can't reach.

I have used this method dozens of times and even got a 16mm hunk of All Thread that was 4 inches long to go through a 2 inch thick hole in solid Stainless Steel!

I was taught this trick by an older guy I worked with for several year named Lynn. He was in the Merchant Marines for many years and finally retired at the age of 76!

May God heap many blessings on him, I learned a ton of things from him over the years and he was just a sweetheart of a guy.

I was out doing the brakes on the front of the Big Red Beast this morning and broke this little 5/16's bolt off, the very last thing I needed to get done before putting the wheel and tire back on when I felt it "go soft" and break off.

I built this engraver out of a box full of parts and ones that got thrown out because they quit working. Grainger wants $450 for them but you can get one from Amazon for aout $85. I don't get anything if you buy one but I am highly recommending them if you do any kind of wrenching. Click on the highlighted link below if you want to get one.

This thing is worth it's weight in diamonds, I'm telling ya.

Anyways, enough with the yapping, here's the video I took.

Interesting Stats On Blogger

I look at my stats every time I log on to Blogger and have found something interesting.... high view counts on older blog posts. Like from 2022 and 2023 as well as the static pages. I always toggle the view for the last 24 hours and wonder how come these counts aren't for the latest 5 posts? No new comments either. Weird.

Pfffft!..... Juneteenth

Sure, recognize it if you want. But making it a federal holiday by the stroke of a pen from a demented meat puppet as a "GIMME" to union and government workers is total BULLSHIT! Probably more fallout from the "auto pen" scandal actually signed into law by the cabal. I wanted to make a cash bank deposit today, but NOOOOOOO! I think I'll just hold onto the cash and use it to pickup a new GAT instead.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if this nonsense got rendered NULL & VOID along with all the (p)Resident Dash's* pardons and E.O.'s, though?

No one I know that has today off gives a single tiny fuck about why they have today off. They just know they have another paid day off at taxpayer's expense.

What A Gift!

What kind of friend gives you this?

A damn good one, for sure!

A guy in my sportsman's club bought the 40th Anniversary Edition 2015 Goldwing off my riding partner before he passed. He sold his old 2007 shortly afterwards. He handed me this tonight after our regular meeting. Worth it's weight in gold!!

It is the COMPLETE service manual for "The Beast" which is a 2008, and it is in like new condition. Now that my bike is older, it is time for me to start doing some more of the work myself and this will surely help. Like the next time I need tires, I will just bring them the wheels.

I copied this post from 2022 to the top for the obvious reason.

I met this young lady on an EMS call a couple of years before her tragic death by suicide. That call was a suicide attempt where she had laid down in the middle of a back country road hoping someone would just run her over. An alert motorist saw her and called 911. I will not go into any of the details other than this; when we arrived at the hospital and I opened the doors to get the stretcher out, she was sitting on the stretcher facing me rocking back and forth, sucking her thumb, and weeping. As a Dad of a daughter myself, it absolutely broke my heart to see such a pathetic creature. To this day, my "bug-a-boo" ambulance call is what I call "the sad little girl." 12-23 years old, crying her eyes out, covered in cutter scars, sometimes telling tales of abuse; mental, physical, sexual, and probably being transported against her will by law enforcement for wanting to harm herself. My career and volunteer partners know this, and depending on the severity of the call will offer to tech it. I am getting better at handling these calls myself, but I think of Cassidy on every one.

From her clothing, she may have been a 1st Responder

One heckuva fish!

Proof she did have happy times in her short life

I had heard things about her life that if true, she had it rough, and those circumstances would drive anyone to the brink. I wish I could somehow turn back time and maybe do something more to prevent the final outcome. If you or someone you know is in crisis, PLEASE reach out for help to the Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Each year I do a benefit motorcycle ride called "Ride For Gage" that benefits the Jordan Porco Foundation for suicide prevention in September. I also see more than my share of successful suicides, and doing the death presumptions while the family is nearby SUCKS!

As a side note, the call involving Cassidy actually disturbed the other technicians, too. I was just the driver, but the other two were in the back doing patient care. In a casual conversation a few months later the subject of this call came up. Both guys said how it bothered them too, and how we probably should have talked earlier and gotten Critical Incident counseling as a group. Both of them are no longer in EMS, so they probably don't think about it any more.

Rest In Peace, Cassidy. Because I will never forget you.
