Q: Why do I think there's a commie behind every tree?
A: BECAUSE THERE IS A FUCKING COMMIE BEHIND EVERY TREE!! And on every college campus and at every level in government.

Please refrain from adopting the language of the lefty loonies

Aw.... Son of a BITCH!!

"Big Red" may be dead. Who is "Big Red" you ask? My beloved 2007 Toyota Tundra SR5 Double Cab pickup truck. The top photo is from the day I brought it home from the dealer on Monday August 2, 2010. My wife named it Big Red since it was the biggest, baddest pickup truck I ever owned.

This photo is from Wednesday October 20, 2010 just after having the brand new ARE Mid-Rise cap installed. I bought the cap from Killam's in East Windsor. They matched the factory paint perfectly. I took the photo on the back ramp of the firehouse.

I bought the truck from Charles Toyota in Norwich on July 31, 2010. It had 33K on the odometer and was listed for $23,506.00 as a 3-year lease turn in. It had the 4.7L V-8 engine and TRD Off Road package with factory towing. Of course as a fireman, my new truck HAD TO BE RED! But I wasn't sure what body style I wanted; Double Cab or Crew Max. It turns out Charles Toyota had one of each in Radiant Red. I returned to the dealer with my wife and had them bring both trucks up front side by side so we could go through them and decide which configuration was best. The Crew Max only comes with a 5.5' bed and a huge back seat, but a poor in cab cargo area because of the way the seat folded down (they have since made it better). The Double Cab had a 6.5' bed (they are available in 8' too) and a slightly smaller back seat, but the seat folds up completely out of the way allowing a huge cargo area behind the front bucket seats. We felt that for traveling, especially with the dogs, that would be best so they could be in the climate controlled cab with us. Funny story; I paid their full listed price and here's why. When I went to pick it up, I tried to pull a last minute negotiation and asked for $1000 off, figuring they would counter and I could save a few hundred. They told me they were selling it for what they paid at auction. I told them to produce the invoice that backs up that claim and they've got a deal. They did and the invoice read $23,501. Because I brought my own financing, they made a whopping $5 on that truck. They needed to get rid of it when they did, because it was on the lot for 4 months and they were about to start paying property taxes on it as inventory.

And travel we did! Cape Cod, Maine, and trips to Massanutten Resort area in Virginia with her parents and brother's family. I made multiple trips over the years to Emmitsburg, Maryland to the National Fire Academy and the annual Fallen Firefighter's Memorial Weekend with a few guys from the department. My last trip down there was in 2015.

In this photo it's parked on the side of The Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia on June 23, 2014 the first time we went down there.

On our trip back there in 2015, we brought our kayaks and bicycles but never the dogs because they were not allowed in the vacation condos. The kayaks rode on top of the cap, the bicycles in a hitch receiver mounted bike rack, and all our luggage and food in the bed under the cap. A small cooler and snacks were in the back seat cargo area. Below is a photo from when I was test fitting the kayaks in the driveway using the saddle racks on the integrated Yakima roof rack system. Because they sit up so high, I bought and installed cockpit covers so if we got caught in heavy rain, the kayaks would not fill with water. Two kayaks filled with water up that high could mean a rollover disaster. It takes two people to load and unload them; one on the tailgate and the other on a 6 foot stepladder. The ladder got stowed in the bed for travel. We only used this configuration for the long trips, never for day trips around home. For that the kayaks just slide into the truck bed.

In 2016 we rented a trailer for cheap from a guy on the fire department after I spent the better part of a month rehabbing it in lieu of rental money. We went all the way to Glacier National Park in western Montana and back with lots of stops in between. This photo is from when we arrived at Badlands National Park in South Dakota on August 24, 2016. The trailer weighed in at 7600 pounds, and the towing capacity of my truck was 7800 pounds. But Big Red pulled that trailer effortlessly, especially since I used non-ethanol gas whenever it was available, which was almost everywhere from Indiana west. We had all three dogs with us for the 3 week trip.

Next stop was Devil's Tower in Wyoming on our way to the western entrance to Yellowstone. After being at Yellowstone for three days it was north to Glacier. We headed home three days later by way of North Dakota and then headed south to Indiana where my wife wanted to visit a wolf sanctuary. From there was one more night in Pennsylvania and then home. It was the trip of a lifetime for sure.

We have used the hell out of that truck for hauling stuff, helping friends move, towing my utility trailer, commuting, and just all around use. With the big back seat we always took the truck if we were going to carry passengers. My wife's RAV-4 and her previous 4Runner always had the back seat down and set up to transport the dogs, making it a lot of work if we were going to use it that way, and then put it back.

In 2018, Toyota put a brand new frame under Big Red. That made it worthwhile for me to remove the rusted bed and repair all the mounts two summers ago. While the bed was off, I fixed a bunch of other stuff too. The plan was to keep the truck at least 3 more years from now. But that plan has been totally derailed.

On Sunday morning May 31st, I was on my way home from the firehouse at 6:05 AM. Less than half a mile down the road, the truck lost all power and I pulled off the road. There was no check engine or other warning lights and the gauges were normal. When I tried to restart it, it would start and run perfectly for 1 1/2 seconds then shut off. I tried repeatedly with the same results. Having a small tool bag in the back seat cargo area, I disconnected the battery and shorted the battery cables together for 30 seconds to completely reset the truck. I connected everything back up and tried to start it. Same results as before. It was acting like the engine immobilizer was preventing it from starting, as if you were trying to use a cut metal key without a chip. I gave up screwing with it and called AAA to get towed the 1 1/2 miles home. They showed up within the hour and got my truck and me home. Being a Sunday all service centers/dealers were closed, and I had to be back at work Monday morning at 0600. I would ride my motorcycle to work and spend standby time burning up the phone lines to deal with it Tuesday. Luckily we were in store for a stretch of decent weather with only showers on a couple of overnights, so using the bike has been OK.

I first called the garage we normally deal with that specializes in Toyota. But since they are not a dealership, they, like myself do NOT have access to Toyota's proprietary diagnostic software and OBD cable. So it was going to have to go to the dealership. I called them and they said they could not set something up until I had the truck towed there. I replied I would see them Tuesday the 2nd.

Tuesday morning I called AAA to arrange a tow. They said sorry, you get one tow per disablement and I would have to pay. They would arrange it for me but could not give me a cost, it would be up to the towing service. I said thanks but no thanks, I would rather give my money to a local guy I know. I called my local guy and he said he could tow it for $207.65 He towed my truck to the dealership and I went on ahead of him on my bike. When I got there I spoke to the service advisor and told her my truck was coming and why. A few minutes later my truck arrived on the flatbed and they checked it in. There were phone calls back and forth over the last week and finally a diagnosis.... mice have chewed up my wiring harness under the fuse box in the engine bay. Good news is auto insurance covers this under Comprehensive Coverage. Yesterday I called Progressive to file a claim and secure a rental car. I get the car for up to 30 days and will hitch a ride with my wife on her way to work tomorrow morning to get it.

Today I get the bad news. The wiring harness is no longer available new from Toyota or  anywhere else used or salvaged. I thought I found one in Florida, and had a discussion with the parts manager about it. It turns out they are specific to the model and options, and the one I found in Florida was not correct for my truck and would not work, even though the website's fitment chart said it did. He also stated that any wiring harness needs to have the factory tag on it with the proper part number before they will use it. Shit! I am now staring at the possibility of Progressive totaling my truck. Time to gather up the receipts for all the work I put into it recently. 😒

My original plan was to replace my truck in about 3 more years with a 25+ year old, low mileage, Grandpa's creampuff from down south where they don't use winter salt. No emissions, cheap property taxes, cheap insurance, easy to work on myself. I would drive it into the ground like always over the period of about 10 years, then find another. It looks like I might get close to 10 grand if they total my truck, so I'm not sure what I am going to do. I really need a truck, but they are unaffordable these days. There will be no getting a good deal like I got on Big Red. That truck these days are going for $45K plus.

I Hear This A Lot

Whenever I happen to be within earshot of the family while standing a flag line with The Patriot Guard Riders. Because I do so many PGR missions, Memorial Day occurs for me on a regular basis.

"On behalf of The President of The United States, The [appropriate branch of service], and a grateful Nation, please accept this flag as a symbol of our appreciation for your loved one's honorable and faithful service."

Now More Than Ever

I am not "Pro Life," not even close. I served in the U.S. military and was ready and eager (still am) to kill Commies. I am strapped 7/24/365 and and am prepared and willing to defend my life at the expense of someone obviously willing to forfeit theirs to try to kill me. I am however, ANTI-ABORTION. I understand it is a standard medical procedure that is rarely necessary, but to use it as routine birth control, although legal, sickens me to no end. I consider it murder pure and simple, an absolute abomination, crime against humanity, and a mortal sin against God. That was reinforced several weeks ago on an EMS call for a possible miscarriage.

I have never shied away from such calls that once upon a time, dispatch would put out a request for a female technician. Due to availability of personnel that is no longer a viable option. In fact, time in my career is running out to earn my stork pin for doing an emergency delivery which would be freakin' awesome. The last delivery I was present for was my own daughter 41 years ago. The worst part was watching the OB-GYN do the episiotomy on my wife. Made my asshole pucker! Of course there is the old joke about asking the doctor to put in an extra stitch or two to "snug things up."😆 This was the second miscarriage call I have been on in the past 20+ years, but the first one I was directly involved in. What follows is a photo of the "Narrative" portion of the Patient Care Record written by me, redacted to protect the PT privacy, my FD, other medical personnel, and my identity.

I know it's small print, so click it to big it

There are some standard abbreviations and medical terms we use so I will try to define, and do them in the order they appear:

y/o/f = year old female

PT = patient

A+Ox4 = Alert and oriented x 4 means they know who they are, where they are, date and time, what happened, and can answer simple quiz questions without having to think hard.

Gravida = pregnancy

Para = pregnancy resulting in live birth

Tachycardic = rapid heart rate

Hypotensive = low blood pressure

BP = blood pressure

O2 = medical oxygen

15 lpm = oxygen flow rate of 15 liters per minute

NRB = Non Re-breather, the type of oxygen mask used for high flow oxygen

I was the lead tech on this call, and as such dealt with the patient and the product of the miscarriage, a 17 week old male baby. I picked up this delicate little creature lying on a towel, placed him on a clean towel, and because of the nature of the bodily fluids he was gently placed in a bio hazard bag and laid on the tray area at the head of the stretcher under the mattress to stay with mom. At the hospital I made sure someone personally took charge of the remains because mom had stated she was afraid someone might just throw him away. I assured her I would not let that happen and the paramedic on board explained what would take place at the hospital as far as any possible arrangements. As you can see by the Gravida/Para description, this call was her third miscarriage. Also, this call bothered me a little because of the sadness of it all, but as usual I got over it and don't dwell on it. But I will never forget it, nor will I ever forget the sight of that precious little baby boy. Below is the best photo of a 17 week old fetus I could find, and is exactly what that little boy looked like.

So it makes me question what kind of callous, shitty excuse for a human being would think nothing of walking into an abortion factory to have their baby killed and sucked out of their body like the annoying fat in their ass by liposuction? Some profess online to have done this multiple times! All because they either did not take proper precautions, those precautions failed (because they are not 100% effective), or practice abstinence (which is ALWAYS 100% effective).

OK... END OF RANT

The Infringements Continue - 2026

This is extracted from an email I received from the CCDL (CT Citizens Defense League) today at just after 9 AM titled "CCDL Member Update: May 2026"

CCDL SEEKS DOJ SUPPORT OF CT GUNOWNERS

This week CCDL sent a letter to the federal government requesting relief in the Second Amendment arena. Connecticut continues to trample our rights and yet pushes for more. Every session we are forced to comply with new laws and restrictions on items that were legal when we purchased them. It is becoming increasingly difficult to remain a law abiding citizen in Connecticut and it is beyond time for change.

Late 2025, the Department of Justice opened the Second Amendment Section of the Civil Rights Division. Since its inception, the Second Amendment Section has gotten involved with state litigation across the country, including in nearby-Massachusetts, Virigina, Hawaii and most recently Colorado, for several unconstitutional restrictions.

We are asking the DOJ for the same pressure.

Read the CCDL letter to the DOJ here.

The line at the end of the first paragraph saying it is increasingly difficult to remain a law abiding citizen in Connecticut is what caught my attention. As many of you know, I have refused to comply with the unconstitutional infringements in KOMMIECTICUT since they implemented their own "assault weapons ban" in 1994, and EVERYTHING passed since then. Carrying guns in GUN-FREE DEATH ZONES, buying and selling guns privately with no government authorization or interference, buying "verboten items" in free states and bringing them back here, storing guns how I see fit.... the list goes on and on. It has even expanded to carrying concealed across the imaginary CRIME LINE at the state border where I play my game of calling out "Not a Felon/Felon/Not a Felon" as I criss-cross the border. I did this last evening when going out to dinner with my wife and another couple documented with this post on X.

What caught my attention was having an organization like the CCDL say the quiet part out loud and mention what I have said for years. "I am not a law abiding citizen, but a peaceable one." To be law abiding means obeying these unconstitutional infringements, and I flatly refuse. I follow the quote attributed to Thomas Jefferson (although there is no evidence he said it) “If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so.”

Laws require compliance and obedience to work. I will do neither especially when they have NO EFFECT on the criminal behavior it is intended to stop. The latest version of this is HB-5043 aka "The Glock Ban." As we all know, ghetto hood rats have no problem obtaining Glock pistols and installing extended magazines and giggle switches with no background check, Form 4473, or NFA approval certificate. That doesn't stop the hoplophobes in the state capitol from limiting the peaceable citizen's market choices at the local gun shop. And it's not just Glocks, it's any cruciform trigger system striker fired pistol. So not only my two Glocks, but my Ruger SR9c, S & W 45 Shield, and newest S & W  M&P 2.0 10mm. Of course the law is written so you can keep what you have, but look what's going on right now in Rhode Island with their "assault weapons ban" they passed last year. This year they want them all turned in or confiscated by force. Do you think Kommiecticut hasn't seen that and thought "Hmmmmm... maybe we take them all next year?"

I am currently waiting to receive my official firearms list from the state police "Special Licensing & Firearms Unit" also known as the SLFU. They are notoriously understaffed I believe on purpose to make dealing with firearms in the state increasingly difficult for the average citizen. Pistol permit renewals are way behind, so I don't expect my list any time soon. It has to be requested in writing, notarized, and sent by snail mail. They then print it out and mail it back to you. Fucking dinosaurs! I am working on my estate planning for firearms with my baby brother who will handle it for my wife in the event of my demise. This way he will know which guns he can sell off the radar for cash. These lists are stupid inaccurate. The last one I got was (happily) missing 50% of my guns. While most were off state radar anyway and some never had serial numbers, several were bought at FFL dealers with paperwork yet weren't there. Of course, the SLFU encourages you to add the missing ones, and YOU must provide proof of sale for any guns still on the list in error. I accidentally found out that there is a database listing EVERY gun you have ever owned. For example, I sold a Ruger Single Six in the early 1990's. Nice pistol, with the extra cylinder for .22 Magnum, just too small for my hand. If someone uses it in a crime, don't come to me about it for any reason... I will be, shall we say... less than cooperative.

The big hit we are facing on our property taxes may be the final nudge needed to get my wife to move to a free state. The town has absolutely blown up the budget with no new sources of revenue except to rob the townspeople for more. I don't fucking have it! Second Amendment freedom will just be a bonus.

Range Day 4-20-26

In my previous post I wrote about buying my new Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 10mm full size pistol ahead of the latest infringements in Kommiecticut. HB 5043 that will ban just about all striker fired semi-autos, supposedly to prevent the hood rats from buying these guns and adding giggle switches, as if they walk into a gun shop to buy their guns! But we all know it will have absolutely no effect on their activities, just make less choices available for Peaceably Armed Citizen Patriots to purchase. After all, the eventual goal of state government is total civilian disarmament and always has been.

I decided that indeed, the 10mm will now become the new bedside gun. Further thought about doing that revealed that adding a red dot in the optics cutout is not what I need to do, but instead move the Streamlight TLR-4 Laser/Light off the Glock G-21 and onto the 10mm. If I put on a red dot, I would still need to buy a light. I only use the TLR-4 at night in the house so moving it made sense. Because it is a red laser, I would need to plan my range day for overcast conditions, because sunlight obliterates red lasers. When I headed for the range on the 20th it was overcast and the 10mm wasn't the only thing I brought. You see, I picked up a couple of items from a neighbor that is downsizing and wanted to try these items out.

When I arrived at the range, there was another club member already there working on a rifle for his wife. He was getting it zeroed close so she could come to the range for her final zero. I let him finish up and then asked if he wanted to stick around for a little fun. You see, one of those items I bought was a small DIY cannon. You know, just like the ones (p)Resident Poopy Pants Biden said no one could own. Remember?

It's made out of a piece of seamless stainless steel tubing with a plug welded in one end and a drilled fuze hole. The mount is pretty shitty so I will improve that (maybe with a gun carriage kit), and change the fuze to be a lanyard that flips a hammer onto a primer cap. The fuze hole will be drilled and tapped to accommodate a black powder nipple. The bore is smooth so I will cast some round ball projectiles out of scrap lead and actually shoot it. The previous owner only did black powder salutes with wadded up newspaper. My plan at the range was to pop it off with propane. I set the cannon mount against the concrete pad of the firing line with the muzzle facing downrange. A piece of cannon fuze was placed in the fuze hole. Using an unlit propane torch I filled the barrel with a quantity of propane. I lit the fuze and watched it completely burn away with a little smoke coming out of the hole. NUTHIN'! I then lit the torch and held the flame near the muzzle and still nothing. We waited a few minutes and blew air into the fuze hole and tried again with a little more propane. I held the torch flame near the fuze hole and then near the muzzle again with no results. I had witnessed a similar size cannon lit off easily and successfully several times at a boy scout camp so I'm not sure what I need to do to make it pop. I put the cannon back in the truck and the other club member left. Time to do some actual shooting.

First up was this kinda weird double action revolver. A Harrington & Richardson 732 Guardsman 2nd Model in .32 S & W Long, sporting a 4" barrel. It was dirty from not being cleaned, but in Blue Book 95%-98% condition with original grips.

Obtained with no paperwork for cash from the same guy I got the cannon from. He bought it forty something years ago to unalive goats for slaughter that he and his were wife raising. It came with almost a full box of Remington ammo. I said it's weird mostly because how you open the cylinder. You pull the exposed cylinder pin outward and flip the cylinder out. I loaded six rounds and fired it on single action. Accuracy with the fixed sights was pretty good. I then reloaded it to try it on double action and it worked perfectly. I fired a few more cylinders full and was satisfied at $100 it was a good buy for a working gun that is unregistered.

Next up to do some work with my new S & W 10mm. A single center mass hit with a 10mm 180gr JHP should finish off anyone in my home that doesn't belong there, and with a spare 10 round mag handle any potential friends of theirs. Therefore, I needed to move the Streamlight TLR-4 from the Glock to the S & W. I brought tools and the extra mounting plates to make the swap. It took about 15 minutes to figure out the mount and get it put together. I put targets up at 10 yards, loaded my mags, and got ready to shoot. But SONOFABITCH!!! the sun came out nice and bright making the laser dot invisible. I waited for some clouds to come over but they went by too fast. I ended up using another target stand mounted 90 degrees and extra cardboard to shade my targets from the sun. While not optimal, it worked. I got the laser zeroed to the pistol. 10 yards is the maximum range inside my house so that's how I zero it and I use a little saying I made up to remember holds closer and farther away. It's "Go Slow, Fairy" which means if I am closer than 10 yards the laser dot goes low... "Go Slow." Just above the base of the sternum/diaphragm area for the center of the chest. If I am further that 10 yards then I hold high, about the area between the inner part of the collar bones or the neck if really far. Far = High... "Fairy." It works for me, YMMV. I then used the remainder of my target ammo to smack the 25 yard plates using the iron sights and called it a day. I went home to clean and lube the 10mm for house guard duty. The mags were cleaned and loaded with the home defense ammo. SIG Elite Performance 180gr V-Crown JHP is what I use for the house. The next day was supposed to be shitty wet weather, so the plan was to start cleaning some guns from previous range outings. I don't clean my guns immediately after an outing, but I don't let them get really crapped up either. Later in the evening, I got the press going to crank out some 9mm. I need to load some more prepped brass while the press is set up for 9mm.

I picked up this beauty as well from the same guy for $200. A hardly used (but dirty) Marlin 60SS with laminated birchwood stock, Marlin Micro-Groove barrel, and 4X scope. This gun has never technically existed in Kommiecticut, since it came from the deceased brother-in-law in Virginia of the guy I bought it from, so did any of Kommiecticut's infringements actually get disregarded? I don't really fucking care.

A trusted friend of mine in the fire service wants it, so I tore it down completely to clean and lube it. It really wasn't that dirty, but the guy that owned it said he didn't clean it because it's stainless steel 🙄. I told him it doesn't matter it still needs cleaning and lubrication, but that falls on deaf ears with this guy. My friend is coming by tonight to pick it up for what I paid for it. It is really nice, but I don't need another .22 rifle, and I still have my old Marlin Glenfield Model 60 I bought in 1980.

New GAT In Anticipation of Another State Ban

Specifically HB-5043 which is typically called a "Glock Ban" modeled after Kommiefornia's ban. Not one word of this unconstitutional bullshit will prevent a single ghetto hood rat from obtaining a Glock style striker-fired pistol and slapping a switch on it. NOT-A-SINGLE-ONE! However, the rest of us Peaceably Armed Citizens will have the gun store display cases of semi auto striker-fired pistols emptied of choices to purchase. The bill prohibits manufacture, sale, and transfer of these pistols, until they find out it didn't work and they ban possession as well, in which case I am already such a felon, so what's one more? I won't comply with this infringement either. This video is from Chicago, the premier city for gun control and the hood rats have all the forbidden hardware they want with no problem. I, along with almost 2,000 other Kommiecticut residents submitted written or oral testimony in opposition during the public hearing for the Judicial Committee, while those in favor could be counted on one hand. As usual, such a bill with bitter opposition was pushed through the committee favorably, and will now be up for a full vote in the General Assembly. With one party rule of Demon-Craps in both houses, a vote in favor will be a simple formality. Then it goes to the desk of the idiot governor "Jolly" Ned Lamont who will sign it as soon as it arrives on his desk. This particular law will be just the beginning, because as anyone that actually has any firearms knowledge should know, is that EVERY semi-auto pistol can be converted to full auto. Just pull up a few videos on YouTube of full auto 1911's, Desert Eagles, or Beretta 92/96 pistols.

So in anticipation of this new law taking effect on July 1st, I wanted to get another striker fired pistol just because I still can. I have a few already but had some dough squirreled away for buying guns so I started shopping last week. I was looking at getting something completely different and settled on getting a 10mm. I found a G-20 Gen 4 at Cabela's online for $499.99 but no way to start the online purchase process, so I called customer service. The guy told me that the gun was the last one in their system and located at their store in Anchorage, Alaska. I was told that once a firearm lands there, it is never coming back due to company policy. There was a G-20 Gen 5 listed at Hoffman's Gun Center for $579 but the online listing disappeared. I stopped looking until last Thursday when I grabbed my cash stash and Cabela's gift cards to actually shop in person because online gun listings don't seem to filter properly and show me stuff that I'm not looking for.

First stop was Cabela's because I had a couple of gift cards to help pay for guns. They did not have squat for what I was looking for in guns. I did check out their supply of 10mm ammo and they had plenty. Herter's 180gr FMJ target ammo in a 50 round box for $22.99 and SIG V-Crown 180gr JHP Elite Performance in a 20 round box for $25.99 I figured if I end up scoring a pistol I'd come back and get ammo on the gift cards.

Next stop was the Newington Gun Exchange. They had a brand new G-20 Gen V for $675 and he said I could have it for $630 if I paid cash. I almost bought it then and there, but wanted to head a little further south to Hoffman's first because sometimes there is good stuff in the used gun display cases. Plus the fact that Glock came with only one mag, a blocked and glued 15 rounder that can never be disassembled for cleaning, and I would have to purchase "legal" 10 round mags for $30 a piece. At Hoffman's there were no Glock G-20's and nothing in the used displays. I started walking around examining the entire area of gun cases, and found this. A full size Smith & Wesson M&P 10mm pistol for $659

$29 more than the cash price for the Glock and came with two S & W 10 round mags. I asked to examine it and fell in love. A full size pistol (I was not interested in a compact 10mm) and absolute S & W quality with interchangeable backstraps. I told the salesman I'd take it so went went around to the other side to do the paperwork. I just wish it came in a decent case instead of the cardboard box. I left Hoffman's, grabbed some lunch, and went back to Cabela's for ammo. I bought two boxes of the Herter's target ammo and two boxes of the SIG hollow points with about $85 left on my gift card. I got home and opened up the box to closely examine it and read the instruction manual, skipping most of the first 10 pages of Darwin Award warnings. The only one I paid attention to were the ammo requirements. Nothing crazy, but it turns out there is no +P or +P+ 10mm ammo so no worries there. It turned out the "Large" backstrap fits my hand the best so that is what got installed. The take down is like my other Smith & Wesson M&P pistol so nothing new there. The pistol requires a cleaning and lubrication before use so I repacked everything in the box and stuck it in the overloaded safe. The plan is to do the clean and lube right before range day. I also opened up a box of the  Herter's target ammo to look at. Excellent! It's manufactured using Winchester brass so it will be awesome for eventual reloading. I sat down and made a list of reloading needs for 10mm. Turns out I don't need to purchase much. A set of Lee 3-carbide dies for 40 cal or 10mm for about $45, a Lee mounting turret for 3 dies $23 on eBay, and bullets from my usual source Berry's Manufacturing. I will order a box of 500 .40 180gr copper plated flat point bullets for $92. I found a recipe that uses those bullets, Hogdgon HS-6 powder that I already use and have for my .357 Magnum load, and Winchester Large Magnum Pistol Primers. The shell plate carrier is a Lee #19 which is the same one I use for 9mm. The rim dimensions of 9mm and 10mm are identical. I'll load a few for testing and dust off the chronograph when the time comes. I don't load my target ammo too hot, but it's gotta function reliably without FTF/FTE's.

On Friday April 3rd my wife was out of town most of the day, so I went to the range to play. Surprise! When I went to clean it and lube it I discovered I don't have a jag or bronze brush for .40/10mm. I used my 9mm stuff and it worked good enough. I only brought the new 10mm pistol, my range bag, a single box of ammo, and my tool box. I started by bench resting it on sandbags at took aim at 25 yards. Off to the the left a bit. The sights are only adjustable for windage so I loosened the lock screw and gave it a couple little love taps to the right. That was all it took. I then whacked the 25 yard gongs several times. I moved the target stand closer too the 15 yard mark to shoot from stance. Not bad and the recoil is not what I thought it was going to be based on what I've read. All the shells go over my right shoulder and were all easily recovered. I then moved the stand to 7 yards or so to try self defense range and put all rounds center mass where they need to go. I ended my day by using my remaining ammo on the 25 yard gongs.

Early Friday morning I assisted my wife with setting up her dog event. I left a little after 9 AM, stopped for breakfast, and headed back to Cabela's with my gift cards. I picked up two more boxes of the Herter's target ammo, a nice .40 brass patch jag, .40 bronze brush, and a new silicone wipe down cloth. There's a couple of bucks left on the card for later in the season when I'll need some replacement fishing gear. I'll give it a good cleaning and head back to the range, hopefully later this week on a day off.

I will probably put on a small red dot and rail light since it comes with an optics cut and adapter plates. I am thinking this may become my new home defense nightstand gun, displacing the Glock 21 with the TLR-4 laser/light combo. There will be NO COVER for bad guys in my house because I can easily blast them trough walls and doors

Back In X (Twitter) Jail

As the title reads, my account is in limited mode for like the next 12 hours or so. No posting, re-posting, liking posts, posting replies, or following someone new; read only mode. What follows are my offensive posts and replies in chronological order so you can see what the little commie fuck moderators have acted upon from the reports by triggered little commie cunts that complained about my content. Some of it is not exactly new today and not all of them put me in "jail" but were limited as to who could view them.

First up, set to limited viewing. It was in response to a she-boon going berserk in line at some business that had a cordoned walk way to line up in. This F.N. picked up one of the stanchions and started swinging wildly at everyone nearby.

Next, a reply to someone lamenting that Kommiecticut U.S. Senator Chris "Fish Face" Murphy "needs to go. Below the post is the accompanying photo making my post super offensive. Also tagged for "limited views"

Next post, a response to someone like myself that loves life in New England, except for the commie state governments of every fucking state in New England, especially Kommiecticut. If I remember right, the accompanying photo I used is below. This is the first of three that got me "jailed"

Post #4 they didn't like; a simple answer to a posed question about either handling violent mobs and riots, or jihadi muzzrats groveling in the street while another muzzrat screams out jibberish on a P.A. system. I don't recall. I am surprised the fucking cunt that reported my post even knew what I was talking about. I only wrote two words. They must have done a Goolag search first. The second of three that got me "jailed"

Post #5 and the meme that went with it. and I have posted this kind of post and meme several times before as a reply with no issue. For Christ's sake, it's anime! And it was once policy and doctrine of The United States. Now being an actual commie is not only encouraged, it openly runs for office. I look at it this way, we're told commies aren't the boogeyman and they don't exist here. But I contend this certainly proves they do. The third of three that got me "jailed"

Finally, the last one with it's accompanying meme. And I didn't even tag the appropriate state politicians as I have in the past. I simply replied to the OP. Set to "limited views"

So as has happened in the past, libturd commie snowflakes that are easily offended and frightened by the hard core speech of a no bullshit WHITE CHRISTIAN AMERICAN MAN, have clicked on my user name and perused my recent timeline to find and report posts to shut me up for a bit. They oughta take the time to scroll through all 17,100 posts I've put up if they want to find some really juicy stuff. Or they need to read my blog. That's OK though, because I have started doing the same thing back to really insulting morons that add absolutely no value whatsoever to any cogent conversations on that platform.

The break will allow me to finish up my EMT renewal continuing education. I have 4 hours of online video content to go.

Range Day - Update

I did end up going to the range today. Unlike normal on a weekday, there was another club member there already. He had taken some time off from work to do some shooting and was running a suppressed Ruger 10/22 in a chassis as well as a suppressed Ruger 22/45. He finished up and left before I was half done with my session.

I brought the PCC-9 and G-17. I started with the PCC-9 since it was about function testing with the new stock. I stupidly could not remember what range I was zeroed at, so I placed a target stand with 4 targets on it at 50 yards. I loaded up a magazine, turned on the red dot, slammed the mag home and released the bolt. The gun went right into battery. I put 5 rounds on the target but a few inches high, and the other 5 on the 50 yard gong. Crap... zeroed at 100 yards. The next magazine full made a nice group in the center as I held slightly lower. The next magazine dinged the 100 yard gong with all 10 rounds. Even though I was using forbidden 17 round mags, I only loaded 10 to make it easier to keep track of ammo. I then switched to a magazine of my defensive ammo; Federal HST 147gr JHP and put rounds on target. Satisfied, I put away the carbine and took out the G-17.

I have been having a hard time with this pistol for some reason. So I decided to bench rest it at 25 yards to see where it was hitting compared to where I was aiming. High and to the left. After adjusting the sights and verifying where it was hitting, I went after the gongs at 25 yards, striking them easily. I then moved the target stand to the 10 yard line and put up some fresh targets to simulate standard self defense distance. Now shooting while standing I was able to put the rounds in what would be center mass where I was aiming. To finish I ran a mag of the Federal HST rounds. Satisfied, I cleaned up, finding ALL OF MY BRASS, and packed up. I then went to the clubhouse where a few of the members were congregating.

I am now confident in my ability to have the carbine in the truck, or the G-17 on my hip. Both guns are set up to use the same mags and the same ammo. Hopefully times don't get any spicier requiring me to be more heavily armed.

Planned Range Day

Sorry for the lack of posts over the past month. I have been busy posting on X and cramming in my continuing education requirements for my EMT renewal at the end of this month. You have from the first day after your renewal until renewal date 2 years later to get them done. I thought I had a lot more done, but when I looked up what I had I didn't have squat. I have 7 hours more to do online and will have it all completed and renewed by next Tuesday. I have a 24 hour shift tomorrow and Sunday and this will be a time filler between calls.

But today I plan on doing the minimum with C.E. and head to the range. I will be testing a new component on my Ruger PCC-9. Here is the original Kommiecticut legal configuration.

Because of commie tyrant diktats, you can only get it here with a traditional style rifle stock. But that doesn't stop me from putting it the way I WANT IT. Gun control laws in this state be damned! Compliance? What's that?

That's right, it's now set up with an Archangel AR style collapsible stock. In my opinion, not quite as good as the Ruger factory AR style version, but a good substitute that doesn't break the bank. Ruger does not offer their factory AR style stock for the PCC-9 as a separate purchasable item, which I would have preferred to buy. The Archangel stock was amazingly shipped directly to me from MidwayUsa. The only places they won't send it to is NY/NJ shipping or billing addresses. While it is supposed to be drop in fit, and it was... I discovered a multifaceted problem with the magwell. The original Ruger stocks have interchangeable magwells for Ruger, Glock, and I believe Smith & Wesson. This way you can pair it with a pistol and share mags. I had set mine up with Glock mags and purchased a brand new G-17 to go with it. The Archangel stock only works with Glock double-stack 9mm magazines. I chose a G-17 Gen 3 that can use 17 round mags, and operates and feels EXACTLY like my G-21 Gen 3 that I am already familiar with. The receiver fit into the stock nice and snug, and the mounting bolts lined up with the rear pillar and the bolt holes on the receiver. They get torqued to 60 inch/pounds. Using "Snap Caps" I loaded a magazine, inserted it and cycled the bolt. It worked the first time but then I discovered an issue. If I have the bolt locked back manually, when I insert a loaded magazine and release the bolt it stops as if the magazine is empty, forcing me to manually cycle the bolt again. Not good in a tactical situation! I put the rifle away for a few days until I had time to fully analyze and hopefully correct the problem.

That time was yesterday. I spent about an hour and a half at the gun bench with a G-17 magazine and collection of 9mm Snap-Caps. I broke the gun in half so I could observe the top of the mag in the magwell. I compared how the mag fits against my factory set up. The bar that operates the bolt catch for the last shot was catching the top edge of the magazine on the new stock. That transfer bar is easily removable (in fact upon assembly you have to insert it) and with some gentle bending in the right places I was able to get it to not touch the mag body but still react to the mag follower. The next problem I noticed was the mag could move to high up in the magwell with pressure from the bottom of the mag. I reassembled the rifle to test and found it was still hanging up. The rifle was disassembled again and inspected. I noticed the ejector on the factory magwell in a slightly different position. I slowly and carefully bent the new ejector to more closely match factory. That did it! The mag was no longer able to move too far up in the magwell. Now to test the realigned ejector. I fully assembled the rifle without torquing, loaded and cycled the rifle several times again using Snap Caps and found everything functioning normally. I torqued all the bolts to spec. Today's range outing with live ammo will be the final test. Once I am satisfied, I may put my rifle back to original Kommiecticut compliant configuration and put the new stock in the hidden SHTF stash with my other contraband until I move out of this commie blue shithole. But I have not made that decision.

Pictured below and circled in yellow is the newly added super deadly chunk of plastic that frightens the hoplophobes in the state government. They don't like flash suppressors either so I have a muzzle brake device (which actually suppresses the minimal muzzle flash as well) instead. This stock simply makes the rifle much more comfortable to shoot for someone like me with arthritis in both shoulders. The receiver, bolt, and trigger group which actually operate the gun are factory. The red dot sight is a SIG Romeo 5 with co-witness mounts so the factory peep sights are still visible. In reality, this stock is much more dangerous as a fucking club! The only way for me to shorten the factory stock I have is to permanently alter it on a bandsaw. Ruger includes a bunch of filler plates to make it longer. I currently have it as short as possible with a QD sling mount plate installed.

I have 200 rounds of 9mm loaded and ready to go. I had planned on loading another 150 before today's outing but life happens. I'll just shoot what I need today and since my press is currently set up for 9mm, just replenish today's use and the do the 150 at the same time.

Finally Made Good on The Song

"Bomb, bomb, bomb -- bomb, bomb, Iran...."

They have been killing Americans and other innocent people around the world since 1979, whether directly or indirectly through their terrorist proxy network. Never mind how their own people are treated. Their pursuit of nuclear weapons could NEVER be allowed, because they have promised over and over to use them as soon as they had them against the U.S., Israel, and our allies. Thank God we FINALLY have a President with a ginormous set of balls to take the fight to them. And they had plenty of warning to comply. If it results in the disappearance of the regime then that's a bonus. This should also send a clear message to muzzrat jihadis and their supporters around the world; WE WILL FIND YOU AND WE WILL KILL YOU!

You fucking panty-wetting LIBTURDS can stick your little bumper sticker up your ass.

I have THIS version on the tool rollaway in my garage BFYTW!

I hope once again, he left congress and certainly the media out of the loop until the attack was underway, because those fucking traitors would have alerted Iran. You know they would have.

This article from PJ Media pretty much covers the reasons this needed to be done for a long time.
