Q: Why do I think there's a commie behind every tree?
A: BECAUSE THERE IS A FUCKING COMMIE BEHIND EVERY TREE!!

Utilize the language with the same manipulation the Commies do, using the phrase "VACCINE FREE" instead of "UNVACCINATED" or "NON-VACCINATED"

I Finally Jumped In

I had been waiting for my financial situation to improve, and it has. We re-financed the house which will save us $300 per month, and am saving over $1000 a quarter by getting rid of supplemental insurance and joining a medical sharing organization. We make too much to qualify for any discount on Obummercare, and not enough to afford the full freight, even on the cheapest plan. Anyway, starting today, I began an automatic monthly donation to Tunnel To Towers. They ask for $11 a month, but I went up to $20. I also included the optional extra dollar to cover the processing fee for a total of $21. They give you the option to honor or memorialize someone on your donation, so I memorialized the LT from my former fire department that died in the line of duty in 1990. I was right there that night it happened and have never forgotten.

My wife has been instructed to call them if I die in the line of duty to get the house paid off.

I Wonder

Just how much doubt has just been put in the minds of those hesitant (unlike myself that WILL NEVER submit to the jab) to get the jab thanks to the fuck up at J & J requiring the destruction of 15M doses?

Time will tell.

Progress On The Bell

This post was inspired by fellow blogger Paw-Paw.

In this previous post, I told of how I re-discovered that I had the mechanical front door bell from the house that was first my maternal great-grandparent's (from Poland). It was then occupied by their children, and finally divided into apartments where my grandparents lived and my mother grew up. The bell was in a box with the keys to the old house and my grandparent's apartment.

The bell had 100+ years of paint on the base plate, gong, the turn knob and escutcheon plate and has been completely disassembled for paint stripping. The gong is made of solid brass that had been chrome plated at the factory, as well as the outer edge of the cast iron base plate. A few days in a pan of Zip-Strip got rid of all the paint on those items. I may media blast the little bit of chrome plating off and just have the gong be naked brass. The mechanism is also all apart for renewal where stripped or worn.

The turn knob and escutcheon plate are a different story. I got all the paint off, except for the initial base layer which is being stubborn. I covered both pieces in fresh Zip-Strip in a small foil pan and will leave it there for a good week. I will hit it with a stiff nylon brush and see where it is at. Both pieces are solid brass. After that it may need some work with a fine wire wheel on my Dremel Tool. I don't want to be too aggressive, because the decorative relief castings are as sharp as the day they were made.

Why my ancestors felt the need to paint over pretty brass is beyond me.

Below is a photo of what one should look like.

Those raised decorative reliefs are the same as mine. The knob has them too.

Apparently, not only is the word "TURN" there to instruct in its proper use (meaning don't push or pull I guess) but it seems to be the brand name as well. I was surprised that you can still buy this type of door bell brand new. Original ones like this or the other plain varieties run about $40. The real nice ornate ones can be big bucks. Below are a couple of examples

I Hope Someone Takes Them To Task!

On the afternoon edition of the local news was a story about the CT Community Renewal Team, located in Hartford mandating all their employees (about 400) take the jab. I hope someone declines, and is summarily terminated. Then let the lawsuits begin! If it was a fully tested and licensed vaccine that prevented infection and spread, I would be inclined to think maybe that person should consider other employment. In this case, it is an experimental pre-treatment. Even in EMS, the Hep-B vaccine is optional (I took that series, so I am not an "anti-vaxxer"), you just have to sign a waiver releasing your employer from harm if you get exposed or sick.

So pay attention, you ACLU types, you may have something worthwhile to do.

40 Years Ago Today

In a warped way to woo a famous lesbian actress to become his girlfriend, John Hinckley Jr. shot President Reagan in an assassination attempt. Also shot was Press Secretary James Brady, who suffered a brain injury due to a gunshot wound to the head. That helped create the anti 2nd Amendment group called the Brady Campaign, responsible for the background check hoops we have to jump through to exercise the Constitutional Right to acquire a firearm. So in honor of the anniversary, I offer this good old joke:

Q: What is Ronald Reagan's favorite vegetable?

A: James Brady
